Make your own photo desktop blotter
Now I have an impressive piece of leather covering my desk, the cherry wood is protected, the pad will last forever (practically), and it only cost me $150 or so. I chose to accept this since I plan to treat this pad roughly and I didn’t want to pay the hefty prices for A grade sides. Unless you buy a really nice piece of leather like A grade Herman Oak or Wicket & Craig you will likely have scars and various imperfections in the leather. A large pad will consume quite a bit of conditioner. Once you have uploaded your photos in our editor, just drag and drop on your photo album page.

Does not matter the colour just its name and you must set to OVER PRINT in attributes. Make a pantone spot colour called perf apply it to grid. Remember this is for print so wont look like perfs until it is perffed. I have not looked for a small DIY perforator but there might be one out there and that would make it much cheaper.įirst though, I suggest going the other way, and placing the image in Illustrator and the grid you made for the perforations over the top of the art. So if OP wants to get it perfed like real physical blotter art I will explain it below for OP but of course it costs and you will not like the cost at all. Yeah this is good way, or you can go all out and do it like the real thing instead of emulating it.
